I'm going to take two weeks off from work in October. I need travel tips.
These are the places I have in mind:
Cuba
French Polynesia
Monaco
I know October isn't the best month, but it's the best I got. Have you ever been to one of those places, any opinions?

My neighbors go to Monaco all the time. They must like it if they keep going back.

Is it bad I saw two weeks vacation and immediately knew you weren't American?
My personal pic would be Cuba. I've been to Miami and I can't say I enjoyed the company of the Cubans there... But I can say the country looks beautiful, and their amazing 50's American car culture seems absolutely stunning.

October is off-season so lodging should be cheaper. You can't go wrong with any place on your list. If you go to Cuba, try the cigars. They really are as good as they say. Me, I'd opt for Europe.

Cuba - hang around and wander about backstreets and neighbourhoods. You might find the occasional Maserati, Aston Martin or 300SL Gullwing...

I'd be going there mainly for the car culture, and because it looks nice.

True, I'm a pipe smoker but I'll definitely try the cigars.

I'm leaning towards Cuba. Thank god for the good relationship between Cuba and Brazil and for my Swiss passport. Two bad it's just two weeks, I want an entire month.

Hanging around and wandering while wearing a Panama looking for cars is the only thing I'll be doing.

Diplomatic stubbornness at its best. Yes, many pictures if I go there. Maybe a souvenir for a lucky Opponault if I make a new Poll.

Apparently I'm the only one saying this, but my vote is for French Polynesia. The Society Islands are absolutely beautiful, and anyway - everyone goes to Cuba. Plus Tahitian food is delicious.
